Replacing the lid on Egg

My boyfriend removed my lid to move the egg, without following any instructions. He took off the screws for the lid hinge, didnt secure any springs.  Upon trying to replace the lid, it sits offset the bottom, and unsure how to go about making it sit in the right place.  does this have anything to do with not securing the springs?

I don’t know if it does or doesn’t have to do with the springs.  I would go to YouTube and find a video for assembling an egg.  Use zip ties to secure the band/springs, remove the dome and start from scratch attaching the band and dome following the instructions on the video. Just my opinion.  There may be a simpler solution, If you post pics for a better diagnosis.
