My house......but it's not anywhere near there.  :(

Check out Midwestern--that's the new one downtown.  Also, Sugarfire has a location down there too.

From a safety standpoint, CCW if you're walking, but you can't go into the ballpark (metal detectors).  So Uber to/from if you're walking.  Don't walk after dark unless you are very close and part of a big crowd.  If you have your vehicle, do not park on the street and do not leave your bags in the car.  I'm not being paranoid, there's a reason why no one that lives here goes downtown for anything.

BTW, check out the new museum under the Arch if you have time.  They just reopened it.

Thank you!  That's disappointing that it's not cool to walk around downtown.

On the subject of safety...where in the area would be a good place for the wife and I to visit?   Does not have to be walking distance.  We will be driving around.   I want to see the arch and get some good BBQ...other than that we are open to suggestions.

If you're coming in via I-44 from the west, stop by our store/wharehouse......AKA "the BBQ Speakeasy".  Otherwise it's about 25 minutes from downtown.

If you're coming in from the east, check out Code 3 Spice's BBQ Store in Collinsville.  Lots of good stuff there too.

Bogart's is a 5 minute drive from the stadium and it is excellent.  It is in the Soulard district near the Market.  You won't be disappointed!

Jesus dude it's not that bad. 🤣

OP, do what you want. It's like any other city, just watch yourself and you'll be fine.

We have an amazing park called forest park, like 10 minutes from downtown. Great museum, one of the best zoo's in the country, and plenty of other activities. Great restaurants right near by. Can easily burn a day here.

You gotta do the arch of course and check out the botanical garden if you're in to that. If you like Italian food,  check out the hill neighborhood.

Like  someone else said, there's some awesome breweries near where you're at for some great drinks and food.

Maybe try to get some tickets for game 4 of the blues on Friday.

There's plenty of good food, drinks and fun to easily keep you busy for a weekend.
