SRF question
I picked up a SRF brisket the other day from a supplier. The back says “Specially packed for Snake River Farms”. There is no labeling of black or gold. Has anybody done one of these up before? What’s the popular opinion on it?

I have not had the luck of finding SRF outside their web-site. I will be following this to see if anyone else has had the same opportunity you had. Sight unseen I would bet you will be pleased with the quality of the cut. You should see lots of marbling if a true SRF supplier. FWIW-

The SRF briskets are very popular. Note that they have different grades...as you indicated there is Gold and Black which are both Wagyu, but they also have a Choice grade northwest beef.
Does it say Wagyu on it, or USDA Prime or Choice?
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Cook it up and let us know. Does it say choice, prime, or wagyu on it? Maybe it’s something related to that other brand they have, Double R or something like that

The first SRF briskit I purchased was from my local butcher shop. Don't remember what the labeling said.

There is a local butcher (though not convenient to me) that carries SRF meats. Never purchased meat from the store though. Bottom line, no help with your question but responding to availability outside of their website.

I got this through Ben E Keith. It’s advertised as wagyu but it doesn’t have any stamping.

Better to be lucky than good any day. Great score and results right there. Congrats. Thanks for the follow-up.
