Anyone planning a special GOT cook?
Yes, I’m a Game of Thrones fan/nerd, can’t wait it to be back this week, even if sad it will be the last season. Trying to decide what to cook.

You should roast a whole goat.

If I could find a suckling pig I’d do that for sure.

Dragons!! Anybody know where I can get a small dragon? Enough to feed about 10 people? Should I cook it direct or indirect? What temp? And what wood would compliment it?

Haven't worked out all the menu yet but I'm pretty sure that I'll at least be sous vide-ing a chuck roast (into the bath tomorrow) and after removing it from the tub early Sunday evening, patting it dry, and placing it on a grate outside, I'll yell "Dracarys" as I hit the roast all over with the weedburner.

What a great show. Got hooked when season 5 or 6 was out. When hearing about it initially, nothing about it appealed to me and I avoided watching it. Then I said it must be good, everyone is watching it so I gave it a try. Once I got to episode 3 I was hooked and binge watched to get current.
No special cooks planned for Sunday. I will be getting back from BBIV so my belly will probably still be full.

Sadly, I live in an internet back water, no streaming here. Have to wait for DVD release, and scraps from U-tube.
But from "A Feast of Ice & Fire" cook book:
Trout wrapped in bacon. " Served w. a salad of turnip greens and red fennel and sweetgrass, pease and onions..."
1 whole trout
2 sprigs rosemary
3 slices lemon
3 - 5 slices bacon
S & P
Put the rosemary in the cavity, S&P outside, wrap in bacon. CI skillet in Egg dome at least 450F, 3 - 5 min till bacon crisp. Flip. Add lemon slices, cook till bacon crisps, almost 3 min.
Platter.

How about some Pigeon Pie in honor of Joffery or perhaps some pork sausage in honor of Theon Greyjoy 🔪🥖
I just binge watched the first 7 seasons to get refreshed on all the story lines. The hardest part about watching the last season will be waiting a week to watch the next episode. Only 6 episodes for the final season but I've heard that they are all over 60 mins.

Thinking about doing some beef ribs with smashed potatoes and greens. We've got goblets and steins to serve the liquid components.

I belong to the German American society in Omaha, and on Friday’s they have a small menu open to the public. This was their themed menu tonight.
Personally, I’d have renamed them to Littlefingers of chicken. Otherwise, this was pretty awesome.

Heh, if you type "Griffin" into Googlez Imagez, this is the first thing that comes up:
I don't know where to find them (under a Mama Dragon? Good luck with that) but I would smoke them with elderberry vines.
