Using the KA basket for the first time tonight on my XL. Dumb question - Do you guys still keep the grate inside the egg below the basket or do you remove it all together?
Thanks!

Either or.....I took mine out.

I keep it in, only to give the small leftover pieces a second chance to burn. Taking it out works ok too.

I've kept it in for above reasons...

if you have the grate in, the KAB on the XL will be better supported and won’t sag. It’ll last longer. You really don’t need increased airflow on an XL anyway.
