Second grate
I want to get more cooking surface for my XL so I can do more meat in one cook. I can fit four butts on it now. How do you guys do it? Do I need the Eggspander to get a second grate? Any other or better options?

You guys needing to cook more than four butts at a time either have too many friends or have a very serious eating disorder.

Cheap option-get a second grate-pound three aluminum canned beers. Save cans and place on first grate then place second one on the top of the cans. Many go with fire bricks or use carriage bolts to suspend the second grate. Search function will offer pics of various set-ups. However, over time you will likely end up with more permanent hardware as suggested above.

I'll add in that I received the Smokeware Stacker for Christmas and wish I had gotten the PS Woo instead. The post on the Stacker takes up way too much room on the lower grid and cannot be removed without taking apart the allen head bolts that hold it on the lower grid.
