Morning All:
Kathy, MomT & I were at the 2nd Annual Chain of Lakes Eggfest in Winter Haven yesterday...again BJ & Mannix Pools put on a FANTASTIC event...I got there about 7:30am with Kathy & MomT arriving about 9:00...I had already gotten everything set up...here is the view from our space...
And the space ready to go...
First cook was the traditional Sausage/Cheese roll...serving now...
Next we did a dried fruit roll with crumb topping included...there were dried craisins, blueberries, cherries, golden raisins & pineapple...the crumb ingredients were butter, cinnamon, brown sugar & oats...cut for serving...
We then did a couple pans of roasted root veggies...carrots, sweet potatoes, fingerling potatoes, beets & garlic...I didn't get a "direct" picture of them, but in this picture one pan is under the fruit roll that you can barely see
along with yours truly checking...
Next up was the Shrimpburgers with Wasabi Mayo...another hit (as usual)...cut into "bites" so more could sample...
Final cook was the Picanha...one sword almost ready, just put on the other one...
When I say BJ & his crew put on a FANTASTIC event I wasn't eggaggerating...this was one of the many items in the cook team "goody" bag...
8" Cleaver with the Eggfest logo on it!
We had beautiful weather & since our space was the closest to the lake we also had a very nice (at times strong) breeze all day...already looking forward to next year!

Yes, Jay, he does. There is no really good way to describe an Eggfest to a newbie, they just have to go and see and taste. He loved the live bands as well.
It was really a well put-on event and kudos to Mannix pools...they did a great job putting on this fest.
