$650 used with a nest is not a great deal since it won’t have the warranty included.  If it is almost like new than it may be worth it but I wouldn’t spend that much on a used egg.  It really depends on the condition of the egg and nest so please elaborate.

New in box @ $650?  I would buy it.  I sold two different larges last year for $600 each.  It was a bad idea, two different ones have appeared in my backyard.  If you buy it, don't sell it.

I think we paid about $1000 with tax for our large.  plate setter, no nest.  They are going for $800-850 at egg fests, slightly used.  

With a warranty, that sounds like an excellent deal.

No...warranty is not transferable. Dealer may request invoice, proof of purchase for replacement parts. There is very little control over how a dealer may handle a future replacement part.

Thanks for the welcome! I don’t think we have one real close to where I live. Would be a 3 hour drive. I’m back and forth on getting it. The Kamado Joe 2 comes with so much but it’s double the price almost. 

3 hours seems like a long drive but we attend many Eggfests just for fun and to cook. The Georgia Mountain Eggfest was a 2 day drive each way. We have been there twice. In Houston traffic, it takes me 3 hours to get home some days.
You will enjoy the Hell out of a decent Eggfest and it would be well worth the drive. It will cut your learning curve in half watching the cooks.
Many Eggfests in Texas but they are all at least 3 hours from home. Been to all them and most many times.
Make a weekend of it and drive to the Athens Texas Eggfest.
I own KJ and have nothing bad to say about product or service. But I would never pay close to double the price. Would rather have 2 Eggs.

And all egg tests are not created equal.  Some charge more of even way more than others.   All do give savings compared to retail.   Sunshine state does a real steep discount.  Not sure if the exact price, but I think it’s sub 700 for a large.  W nest and plate setter.  

Not sure if the same number of XL and Large eggs will be at this years Sunshine State Eggfest, but if you can make it down @GrillsGoneWild it should be worth the trip.

They sold right around 300 eggs last year.
