Tonight I had one of the finer macaroni and cheese dishes I’ve ever had.

Seriously, I told the lady who came to pick up my dinner tray that it was the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had.  She told me it probably had more to do with the fact I’ve been NPO for testing than the fact it’s any good.  But look at this photo, I mean it’s actually creamy and full of cheese.   I’m about to ask my wife to bring it home once a week when she works.  Man it turns out I like hospital food

My last back surgery the hospital had a Chick-fil-A on-site and my wife would bring me a sandwich and some waffle fries any time I asked. I probably ate too much.
Hope things are going well with you.

We have Chick-fil-A at the hospital, at two different doctor's offices and even at our local Toyota dealer. I pick up a sandwich every time I get the oil changed in the car.

Oh, and if you were NPO, I don't even want to know how you enjoyed the mac and cheese!

Crackers will taste like caviar if you are NPO.

3 days of testing and scans meant I didn’t eat....which sucked, I’m kind of a fat guy who eats a ton.

For the best mac & cheese you'll ever eat, there's a place across the street from Pike Place Market in Seattle called Beecher's that is just incredible.

You can go to their website and download the recipe to make it yourself at home.

Note: the one on their site now is not the original recipe, but still mighty good.
