Built in deck ideas

Hey guys, we just closed on a new home/reno project. It has a small deck on the back that we hope to push out a bit when rebuilding it.
Show me some great ideas for built-in egg tables on your decks. I'm hoping we'll have enough wiggle room in the budget to have the contractor build us a nice cooking station for my large and possibly add a space for the Mini-max too.
We won't have time for anything too extravagant so simple but efficient is what we're looking for.
Thanks in advance!

If it's a wood deck, I would be super wary of using the egg on it. Several people have had their decks catch fire from the egg.

Had this set-up for about a year and wouldn't change a thing. Deck is composite. Well, I have yet to use the gas grill, so maybe a Blackstone would've been more useful.

was lucky enough that the fire on my wooden deck went out on an over night. my elderly neighbor was lucky that he only lost the skin from both elbows down to his finger tips, part of the house, and the rescue crew was able to get his wife out in time. one was an egg, the other a gas grill

My deck is Trex composite, and I wouldn’t want to have any grills on it. All the grills are on the concrete patio adjacent to the elevated deck.

Ya but remember we raked him through the coals after that. Or at least I think we did cause it was uncalled for.lentsboy007 said:

These are great! Yes it is a wooden deck, I wonder if it's feasible to do some tile poor some type of fireproofing around the egging area. It would be a bummer to have to have the egg down and away from the deck. The current layout doesn't elen itself to anything convenient

I really like that setup. Did you use Polygal on top, for a roof?unoriginalusername said:
