This is what my egg looked like when I cooked SWMBO’s last meal, god bless her sole. Time to replace it with a new egg

It's white so it's the healthy mold. Just means your egg is dry curing properly.South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave

Burn it off and wrap your platesetter in foil moving forward. Take a flexible blade scraper and a ball of aluminum foil to knock off the heavy stuff beforehand.

Did you drop it on her foot?unoriginalusername said:This is what my egg looked like when I cooked SWMBO’s last meal, god bless her sole. Time to replace it with a new egg

Oh my. That has quite a patina. How would you describe the buildup on that? Wonder what that tastes like. Yeah, I'd say it's time for 500 degrees and a few pizzas.

What they said, then after each cook, after the Egg cools down (i.e. the next day), place a golf tee, or twig between the base and lid and crack the bottom vent about ⅛"

Yep. Burn it off and keep it vented between cooks. Mine got totally covered once. With a stainless cap, you can just crack top and bottom vents. If you have the Daisy wheel just do as Tony_T said. Also seems to be worse if you use the cover so I don't use mine anymore.

Mine looks like that all the time. Been on here many times for advice and burn it off is what the pros told me too!
