Curious why you prefer 3 small eggs instead of 1 really big one?

@sonvolt, what makes you think I prefer smaller eggs instead of bigger ones? I would say I prefer them for smaller cooks. I prefer the bigger ones for bigger cooks. The cook dictates the egg.

@SonVolt may not see @cookingdude555 's signature if using mobile:

2 XLs, Large, Medium, MM, and Mini

He has them all (now that his "small" is back").

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I don’t always do a good job of using the internet’s text only communication either. My tone was intended to be kind of sarcastic/joking. But it doesn’t always come across that way. Yeah, I like the XL, a lot. We use it frequently. But I’ll admit to being guilty of trying to get something big to work on a smaller egg just to see if it works. Most of the time it does, not always tho.

Gotcha. I just saw the pic and assumed you were only rolling with 3 small eggs. Looks like you're well equipped to handle pretty much everything.

I’d post a pic of them all lined up, but I’m pretty sure I’d get locked up if I did.
  • Here is one anyway.

And then there’s an additional older mini at the office.

I thought the temp gauge clip was supposed to go on the inside of the dome?

Putting it on that way prevents the probe point from poking the meat.  I’ve done that on my large cooking turkey higher up in the dome.

Do you ever just stare out the window at them admiring the beauty?

If no one is watching, I have been known to take a look out there.
  • What I did with my small. Sams club SS table and cut out made from a water jet CNC. Also added the propane burner that I use all the time. Great for cooking mushrooms, onions, sauces or what ever while egging.
  • @Beavercreek_Smoker, I remember your table, and how those stupid rubber bumpers pulled the ceramic glaze off of your small. Because of your post, I threw them out when I got my small nest a few days ago.

I really like your table, and that added burner is very nice. You have me thinking.

@Beavercreek_Smoker wondering if you have a link to that propane burner you're happy with?
