Decent welding gloves for handling components and silicone gloves for handling food items. They can easily be cleaned. Amazon has a large selection~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

I'm very happy with these for handling the hot parts of the Egg while moving things around. I especially like the long length to protect my arms when opening the Egg. For handling food, I use some silicon gloves so that they are easier to wash.

I use these. I prefer the black because it looks cleaner after a lot of use. Only downfall is that hot steam rolls right through them. These are 900F+ rated.

The best gloves for use with an egg are gloves made for structural firefighting. They protect from heat even when wet, good finger dexterity, can be cleaned, and are built tough. Only downside is cost.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
