Started using this when I traveled with lump to keep my car clean and the lump dry when in damp conditions ( yes I know it’s over kill but I had all the pieces - purchased nothing).
I had an an extra bottom grate from a large and it fit perfectly in the bottom of a Home Depot bucket. I added some bolts to keep it off the bottom by about an inch.
When I pour the lump in, the dust works it way to the bottom and not in the egg. I personally don’t mind small pieces but some bags have a little more dust than others. This catches it and I can dump the dust in the yard.

Great idea. I could see using expanded metal too if you don’t have a spare grate laying around.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.
