New Costco

For those of us who have been making the treck to Coralville or Peoria to visit Costco, this was a landmark weekend with our store opening in Davenport.   Went today and was wall to wall with newbies but managed to grab bare essentials from the meat department including this brisket.

  1. Bettendorf, Ia with lots of time in Chattanooga, Tn.  LBGE, plate setter, ar, Looft lighter, maverick et-735, Rutland gasket, Smokeware SS cap, Kickash basket, and lots of cast iron.

On a Monday afternoon there were at least 50 in line to sign up for cards... and many other that were taking pictures of the labels to compare.. will be glad when the mad rush calms down.

I believe it. Folks have been drooling waiting for the one by work to open. I’m giving it 2 months before I set foot in there.

Church time (11am on Sunday) is usually the best time to go. Sun afternoon is the worst.

I joined our Costco this past summer.  Please do as @DMW advised me, get the Executive Membership.  You're going to spend more money than you think you are going to spend there.

While you are at it, get the Costco Visa. The cashback benefits are pretty good. Oh, and pay it off monthly, don't carry a balance.

The Visa I currently carry has 5% back on all purchases at Big Box Stores(Costco) for the 4th quarter.

When we joined 4 years ago it was an Amex card.  I did go with the executive card and have never looked back.  Use it for everything.  Rewards are crazy.

Ditto. I’m certainly going to max out that benefit this quarter.

I want to go so bad to the new one.  Flew by it on 45 last Saturday and there was a line of cars just to get into and out of the parking lot.  I'm hoping to make it in on Friday if it isn't too crowded.
