It’s been pretty crazy lately - was in New York last weekend for my FIL’s funeral. He was a very good man - Korean War vet, retired NYC detective, and raised a family of six really fine kids.
Next week will be way busy, too - heading to Chicago - the dear wife is running the marathon.
I am beyond pleased to be darn near sitting still this weekend. Picked up a 9# shoulder and a 2.5# boneless rib roast. Finally, some beautiful weather, too. Then, to cap it off - Ravens v Steelers Sunday night.
It’s gonna be a Meat Church weekend... Cheers!

Thanks, fellas. Stage 1, low and slow - then split it and seared. Served w rebaked taters. Great dinner, too much drink (but not to the point that I don’t remember, in case I’m appointed to the Supreme Court).
