selling the minimax to upgrade to a large. Less than 1 year old. What’s a fair price?

I saw one that sold on Craigslist for $350 this week.Willard said:selling the minimax to upgrade to a large. Less than 1 year old. What’s a fair price? -
The usual rule of thumb is 50% of the selling price in your locale. Even a super nice one will only go for a smig more since it has no warranty and breakage happens more than you might think. Good Luck!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

BTW years ago it was not uncommon for a dealer to take a unit in trade! Doesn't hurt to ask - especially if you plan to buy that new large from him!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

For the used price of no warranty you might as well hang on to it and join the multi egg family.Willard said:selling the minimax to upgrade to a large. Less than 1 year old. Keep it unless you just have to sell it. You can always sell it later but I think you’ll use both of them frequently.

Warranty is linked to the first buyer. Does the dealer ask for ID when ordering a replacement part?
-
Yep keep it if you can.

You might get 2-300 hundred for it. I wouldn't pay any more than 200.Dave - Austin, TX

Many dealers have over the years! And my guess they always will! Initially a person had to bring in the broken part as proof. Now it is more common to show the dealer a photo.510BG said:Warranty is linked to the first buyer. Thanks for the info. Having not yet put in a warranty claim I'm not familiar with the process.RRP said:

You can easily get $400. You’re talking to seasoned vets here, we tend to brag how little we paid. I paid $350 for my new in box mini max from someone, and would possibly do it again for $400. The notion that eggs go for half their value is very regional. That’s not at all true in my market. On the Facebook buy and sell group they go for at least $400, and more than that sometimes.

Man wish used eggs depreciated this much in Canada. Only got about 35% off my MM

From what I've read on here and seen on FB and CL it's not worth the time and effort to sell an Egg. Because of the warranty issue used prices are so low that you are better off keeping it and saving up money for another month or so then buying what ever it is you want. And you will have the bragging rights that go along with having two Eggs.Marshall in Beautiful Fruit Cove, FL.
