OT-Plate Carriers-OT

I am in search of a good plate carrier and plates for said carriers. What recommendations does the collective have?

We have First Spear here in STL.....that's where are the locals go to be fitted.

Still not exactly sure what you are looking for, but here's what I made and use for safe carrying to and from Eggfests where the PS is still on the hot side. The bottom is plywood, but covered with aluminum flashing.
Then after the PS is in I add this bridge which handles the greasy grate(s). The 4 pegs keeps them steady.
