For something cheap and good I always recommend kincaids hamburgers if you are in southlake. Also Feedstore BBQ is good. Trulucks for Seafood, Bobs Steak and Chophouse is in Grapevine.

If you are willing to drive 20-30min for Tex-Mex go to Joe T Garcia's in Ft Worth and sit on the patio. The Food is ok but the ambiance and margaritas are what sells it. Also, you could look for a La Hacienda Ranch. There are a few around Southlake. They have the best steak Fajitas I have ever eaten in my entire life.

I'll second Joe T Garcia's.  Be careful with the margaritas lol.  Jakes Burgers is good as well.  I think there's a Hard Eight BBQ up there and it's been pretty solid to me.  We take vendors and clients to the one in Coppell alot.  Also a spot called Jambo's BBQ in Arlington that I enjoy quite a bit.  If you want to head to Dallas, Pecan Lodge and Lockhart's are really good.  Keller's Drive In burgers are my favorite in the area.

The founder of la hacienda ranch invented the frozen margarita machine. My votes would be for Wednesday La Hacienda Ranch or Joe T Garcia’s and Thursday Trulucks

I really like Reatta in Ft. Worth too if you're headed that way.  It may be too hot to sit up on the roof but it's pretty neat up there.  Venison tamales are awesome.  Also, Lonesome Dove is good as well.  Those may be more on the business dinner side of the spectrum.

Southlake is the suburbs- surely you can find someting to eat but Downtown Ft Worth as noted is good options or look at Beltline in the Addison Dallas area- that is resturaunt row for sure- lots of great options.  If you feel like driving that far PM me I have been to every place on that strip more times than I can count.

Going to miss you I'll be there Monday night for a Client Dinner myself, not far from Southlake- other side of DFW.  We arent going anywhere fancy.

Just and FYI regarding Joe T's (which I'd recommend as well).....unless it's changed the way it's always been and was the last time I was there a few months back, it is CASH only.  They do have a well used ATM in the lobby area however. :)

El Rancho Grande right around the corner from Joe T's also has out of this world Tex-Mex.  The original Railhead Smokehouse at Montgomery and I-30 by DT Fort Worth is also good and the coldest draft beer around.

The best BBQ in that area is MeatUAnywhere - I’d head to the one in Trophy Club.

You cant go wrong with a number of restaurants in close proximity. There’s a Del Frisco’s grill, Gloria’s (Tex Mex), and Taverna Rossa (Italian - I typically get the Smoky pizza) all at the same intersection.

And if you need a cheaper, but darn delicious meal, go to hopdoddy or Torchy’s Tacos. Getting hungry just thinking about all of this.

Again, remember Joe T Garcia's, only cash.  Have it with you or use the ATM machine.  Look professional and be prepared to have cash or when you get ticket, know to use ATM machine.  Make your boss think you know what you are doing.

well thank you for the suggestions. we did Trulucks on Wednesday night, i had the aged tomahawk ribeye and it was spectacular except they wouldn't cook it medium rare only medium.  we did the oysters crab and calamari for the able, all very good.  we also did the chocolate bag which was fantastic that is a must get there. we did la hacienda ranch Thursday and I agree some of the best steak fajitas I have ever had.

**Babes Chicken Dinner House in Roanoke**. Heim Barbecue in Fort Worth... If you are there on a Friday, Perry's (there is one in Grapevine) has a Friday only lunch version of their famous pork chop.. Hard to describe, just amazing... Oh, Fred's Burger in Fort Worth is great.
