First attempt STL Ribs

5-6 hours @250-270 dome. Costco preseasoned two pack. (Looking for rubs). Next attempt will be lower and slower or turbo. Overall pleased with the results.

Lookin good! The stl cut has a significantly higher fat content and lends itself to a variation of 3-2-1. BB’s are just better done naked on the egg IMO. Ribs are a journey. A real fun and delicious journey.

I looked at the various methods and in the end I'm a lazy egger so I went with naked till tender.

Believe me, I’m in t he lazy cook column as well. I was just pointing out the wrap method is an option with the Stl cut IMO. I’ve done dozens and dozens naked as well. Plenty good either way. Naked works better on the egg than most other cookers because of the highly moist environment. It’s difficult to get a good bark otherwise.

    Enjoy them bones!

Next attempt with two racks 3-2-1 and one naked. I should have done this yesterday.

3-2-1 will be over cooked. I would dial each number back .5 hrs personally. Stuff just cooks faster in BGE generally. Have fun!
  • Good looking ribs! I’ve done wrapped, 321, etc and I’m just a lazy man on the egg. Naked all the way through for me, and the always turn out great.

Whats the best way to cook 2-3 full  racks without a rib rack?

I'm also looking for suggestions on rubs. This looks like the best deal.
