OT: New Roof, Part Deaux

Well since the first thread that I had about this was sunk for some unknown reason, I decided to to start another. It might be Monday before they start putting metal down, shipping issues, but at least they might have the new decking and peel and stick down today.

The brand of peel and stick underlayment used which made it onto the front of the house also yesterday.
Today it seems like they. might be on another project since they have got till Monday to finish the decking on the garage and tidy up any fascia etc. -

Last Tuesday was the last day that they showed up at my house to do a damned thing. The foreman lied to me three times about when he was going to show up. Considering legal action.
Perfect weather since Tuesday also -

40% down . I told him no more until the roof decking was complete or the metal was delivered on site. That’s based upon his own initial cost breakdown. If he were to complete the house decking and get good and started on the detached garage I would pay him another 20%. When the metal is installed another 30%. The remainder upon turning over the warrantee.

I don’t know if I’m helping but this is what I would do. I googled their company and it looks like they are a legit outfit with good google rating and a+ at the bbb. I don’t know who you are dealing with but you need to be talking to their boss. Clearly the company cares about their customers but apparently your dealing with a idiot, call the office and tell them you want to talk to the owner.South of Columbus, Ohio.

We well I sent an email to the head office (it’s a multiple location business) and miracle of miracles the foreman’s phone came back to life. Supposedly they will be here at 8 a.m.

What what happens when you D around and the metal crew is scheduled Monday? You end up working in the rain on Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend. -
Okay they are to the point that they can put the metal on....after the potential hurricane tomorrow. Looking on the bright side, I found three of the original Egg feet and the medium is off it’s nest . Add leftover lumber and I foresee a table in the works.

So the metal is on site and they were at work today. Two out of three ain't bad.
Hope your house gets buttoned up soon. Oh, and about the ventilation. I have been so happy with my roof, I never look at it. Guess they can put a ridge vent on metal roof
