Adjustable Rig Extender - Thoughts

Hello All,
Was surfing around for ideas to smoke a whole chicken tomorrow and came across an Adjustable Rig Extender for the Large BGE on the Ceramic Grill Store website. Here is the link...
https://ceramicgrillstore.com/products/large-adjustable-rig-extender-crossbar?variant=10694816897
Has any one used one of these for Chicken, Ribs, Pizza? Any good. I have two fire bricks that I sometimes use, putting them on my on the platesetter and then putting the cooking grate on them to raise the cooking grate up into the dome.
Just wondering if anyone has used one, and can the cooking grate (round one) that came w/the Large BGE be used or do you have to use the oval ones like shown in the pictures.
If not using this particular one, I'd be interested to see what you all are using for this, mostly interested in Pizza and Chicken. If you've built on yourself, I'd be interested to see what you came up w/ not the most handy peep but I have been known to give it a try. Thank you all, enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I don’t have that, but it looks very useful. They sell some good stuff at CGS - I’m sure it will work well for you. F the Iggles.Maryland, 1 LBGE

Do you already have the Adjustable Rig? You will need that before getting the AR Extender. It will not work as a standalone device. I have the Adjustable Rig and the Extender and love them. With the oval stone and sliding grates, there is no better apparatus for ribs or brisket. I haven't tried a whole chicken but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work well. The Extender is great to get a pizza stone high up in the dome as well. It is very versatile equipment.Cooking on a Large Big Green Egg in North Chicagoland.

In Phila, Home of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles!!!!Standard SS grid on plate setter, slightly smaller SS grid (can't remember what it is or where I got it but I am thinking Aura), stainless steel bolt and fender washers and 16" pizza stone. Stone and upper grid lift off. Does good for pizza.
