Rockwood sale at Ace

Stumbled upon a Rockwood sale on the Ace website through Aug 31... $21.99 for the 20# bag, with an additional $2 off per bag for Ace Rewards members... limit 2, free shipping for store pickup. Yes, please. I’m in Texas, not sure if this is a regional thing. Enjoy.

Arizona here. Just got back from Ace with a couple bags. 19.99 is the cheapest I've ever paid. My ace told me I could buy as much as I wanted with separate transactions.

I bought today as well!“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

Last week I picked up 3 bags of this from my local Ace in Marblehead, MA. It was shipped free to the store, I got a deal with some coupon/special offer, but it took close to two weeks to get it. I’ll do it again but am sharing my story so others know to plan ahead. I truly feel it’s the best lump.Large Big Green Egg in a nest. North Shore of Boston.

Good looking out! I used a $5 coupon as well and got out the door tax and all for $37 something. I wish they didn’t limit it to two bags! Need another alias!South of Columbus, Ohio.

Have you asked them about a discount for an order placed at store level and how many bags it would take?alaskanassasin said:dstearn said:My local Ace said that I can just purchase at the store for the sale price.

I will try that thanks! I gotta say they think I’m nuts for spending that kind of money on charcoal... but then they ask “what times dinner I get off at 7“Photo Egg said:

Hmm. I had an ace rewards account. I purchased some Rockwood through ace online about five months ago. Come to think of it, I don’t get emails from them anymore. Anyway, just went to the website and my account doesn’t exist. I had to create a new one. Anyone else?NW IOWA

Apparently they updated their website, I had to reset my password. Then I had to switch browsers to get the order through, I called them and they weren’t much help and said the new site still has some bugs.South of Columbus, Ohio.

What is a more affordable alternative? I thought about using royal oak for hot burns like pizza.Carolina Q said:

Why just pizza? I've used a lot of RO in the last 9 years. From lo n slo butts to high temp pizza. I've gone years using nothing else. No complaints. Recently bought a small bag of Cowboy too, but haven't tried it yet. Talk about a bad rap!! Would love to prove the naysayers wrong on that one!alaskanassasin said:

I happen to live near the Wicked Good distribution center up in Mass. Makes it nice to be able to buy 20 lb bags of a premium lump for $13 and change. Though I usually go in with others rather than buy 30 bags to get the price! Last time, a 3-way split.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
