What does everyone think about this. I may try this if the rain holds off. Anything to watch for and can i use the aluminum pans for the oven?

You can use your oven pans. Best to use a neutral lump such as RW as baked items can pick up smoke. Should work like in the oven and be great. I'd put down parchment paper to facilitate clean up.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

I use aluminum pans and make individual mini cakes from cookie dough, then add a scoop of ice cream. Heaven.
I never did cookies. When doing these, since they cook a bit longer, I keep an airgap as well. I do not know if it is needed or not as I have never cooked them without one. If it ain’t broke....--------------------------------------------------
Burning lump in Downingtown, PA or diesel in Cape May, NJ.
....just look for the smoke!
