Hopefully it's better than the one in St. Louis.  This one is horrible.  Total dump and there's always a 15-30 minute wait in line because of their staff (or lack thereof.)  Each one is independently owned/operated, so that's the problem.

Similar place to RD.....Costco Business Center.  WOW!!  Hadn't been to one of those until last month when I was travelling.  That place is awesome!

Just get your membership card in kcbs, they can fax it to you.  I think dues are $35 per year.   Show the card at RD and they give you a day pass, cant buy booze tho...fyi

Plan on being there for at least two hours.  And make sure your feet are covered...no flip flops   not a policy of RD but its easy to get hurt toes in the place with all the equipment, plus when you go in the cold warehouse your feet will freeze.

Have fun, its like tractor supply, harbor freight and ace hardware for cooks....

I don't know why it is, but the Birmingham Alabama RD is free for everyone, no membership is required. It may be because Sysco has a strong presence in the Area. Admittedly the Bham RD is pretty sad compared to what I've seen online for other locations. The Bham RD is pretty run down.

Haven't been to the one that recently opened in Minneapolis, but a co-worker paid $2.50 a pound for prime brisket ($3.99 at traditional Costco nearby), so I am eager to check it out.
