I bought one for my parents a few months back when they were on sale and I've been kicking myself for not getting one as a backup for my Thermapen. I just noticed Massdrop has them on sale again. I didn't want to miss out again and got one ordered. 3 days left for the sale. So you need jump on one sooner than later. Just a heads up.

    Is massdrop a site that most people like? I never heard of it before this posting. I see you need an account more or less. I'm interested if it can be a tool for savings.

    I honestly don't know much about the website other than buying a Javelin Pro from them in the past. I heard about the previous deal from another egger. So I signed up. It looks like it could be a good place to purchase kitchen knives as well. I just dropped by on a whim and saw they had the Javelin Pro back on sale. Massdrop has sold thousands of Javelin Pros. I'm not affiliated with the site in any way. I just wanted to pass on a good deal.

    I grabbed a Javelin quick read (pedigree too lazy to find/type on a flash sale last fall) and it is a great instant read thermo.  Figured I needed a back-up as noted by @WeberWho and am glad I did.  If on the fence-do it!  No affiliation but a great product.  FWIW-
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    Oh I didn't take it that way. I don't really know too much about the website. I just don't want to make people think I'm trying to pimp some member only website to get a good deal on a Thermometer. The website is legit and it seems like it could be benifical with other items as well. 

    I agree with you about the forum. Plethora of knowledge here with just about anything. Always something to learn or buy.  =)
