Kroger Meat - Price Alert!

Rather than bury this in the "Kroger Bad Meat" thread I'm starting a new one. I was in Kroger today and they have Perdue chicken breasts Reg. $4.99 for $1.88/lb. and their BB ribs ( I think they're Smithfield) Reg. $3.99 for $.99/lb. The ribs were signed "Manager's Special" and I asked several employees if this was only for this store or a company wide promotion and got the predictable response of, "I don't know." Both specials are with the Kroger card.

Must be a local special. My local Kroger had BB ribs on sale last week for 1.79/lb with the card, so I snapped some up. I really like Aldi's ribs better, but Kroger's are fine.

Managers Special usually means they are about to go out of date.

We picked up some ribeyes that were on "managers special" and put them in the freezer. A few months later, pulled them out, thawed an SV'ed and finished on Egg. Dang good meal.
