African chicken peanut stew

Howdy. I got a recipe off here for African chicken peanut stew that was fantastic. I found the thread from 2014 but the link to the recipe no longer works. Long shot but wondered if anyone on here has it and can post it for me? Thanks a ton.

Do you remember if it was from Saveur? I made an African peanut stew recipe from there a few months ago.

I have one, but it uses beef, not chicken. Recipe from TRex...

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Was this the one you made before?  https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1161267/african-chicken-peanut-stew
Edit - Maybe @DMW still has the recipe since he made it too.

Yes, it was the one from DMW. I'll take a look at the other ones though too.

If you find it throw it back up here so it can make the rounds again.  Sounds like something I’d like to try.

Think I found it. Googled Emeril Lagasse and pretty sure it's the same recipe that DMW referenced. A big thanks to everyone and especially DMW for trying to help. Think this Forum has some of the nicest people around.
  • Have made this via various recipes over the years. Pulled one from my freezer for consumption tonight that is labelled “2020”(!!) and searched to see if I had posted it in the past, when this thread popped up.

Flagging for you, @zaphod, as it’s a good, hearty recipe that can be made either with meat or entirely vegetarian.

oh yeah, you seem to know me well. I've been making a variant of that.  gosh, I can't even remember how long - measured in decades for certain.  Likely 1987 or so. No tomatoes in mine, but there is raisons and an apple. I have no recipe, I just sort of do it.

I cook it in the wok, which was in use for an egged stir-fry tonight. Might leave it out and do african peanut stew/soup/thingy tomorrow night. Apples are nearly ripe on the tree so there is that.

Seemed like it would be up your alley. Your addition of fruit sounds interesting - like giving it a Moroccan flair.

Should have seen my kids’ faces when I told them it was stew I made five years ago. 😂 Was great though. No discernible degradation in quality.
