Burgers from scratch

Just thought I’d share some shots from tonight’s cook - burgers (my wife’s absolute favourite)!
We started with eye of round and cut it with bacon fat to get it to the desired 20-30% fat content. It was definitely closer to 20, which worked for us (as we like our food but also strive for health).
It featured pears, maple-carmelized bacon, lettuce, old cheddar, crisp bacon and maple-sriracha mayo.
My wife, who is a burger connoisseur, proclaimed this to be the best burger she’s ever had.

No shots showing up for me. Funny when you talk about adding bacon and striving for health in the same sentence. That would only make sense here.

Only took me five attempts to load these photos, and the successful attempt even cut some out! -

Real nice right there. Never had pear on a burger, but I ain’t opposed to trying it. Real nice!

I think the pear completely offsets the bacon fat. I deem this a healthy burger. Well done!Memphis, TN

For those who are unafraid of blue cheese, I feel like pear, carmelized onion and blue cheese would be a stunning combo on a burger like this. -

Nice looking burgers.
Your pictures are really big files, hard to upload and hard to view as the page takes ages to load. Try and reduce the file size to make things easier. -

I usually just upload directly from my phone, but you’re right that I should consider reducing file size when uploading so many. -

Not your fault. I think most people here upload from their phones, and it's not easy or intuitive to be able to re-size them on a phone. Many have suggested the forum get software to do this automatically, but that doesn't seem to have been easily done, either. Don't know what the solution is.I usually just upload directly from my phone, but you’re right that I should consider reducing file size when uploading so many.
But for what it's worth, yes, IF you do have the ability to re-size your pictures, please do, another time! Just one of your pictures, for example, was 4032x3024 pixels and 7.7 MB in size. when I re-sized it just now to 1000x750 pixels, which still displays just as well, it was only 217KB in size. That means the original picture was 35 TIMES bigger than it needed to be. Multiply that by 11 photos, and this page looked blank to a lot of folks because it took so long to load the photos that they never saw them.
Again, NOT blaming you! Most people upload from their phones, I think, and there's no easy, automatic way to re-size them to upload from a phone. Not that I know, anyway. -
Beautiful burgers. Ironically, we are having burgers on the egg tonight. Going to try some of your tips!
