A buddy and I finally got around to installing our Rutlands from RRP. We used all of the recommended steps. The only thing we noticed is that the second went on easier because he had scrunched up the Rutland on the dry egg. We felt that made it easier to size and position than the unscrunched gasket. Just our experience, your mileage may vary.

Well, Sir that gasket can withstand 2,200º which the BGE isn't even capable of reaching at gasket level.
