Hinge issue?

Issues opening the lid. One time just fine, next hangs up and doesn't even want to open or hangs up a third of the way up.
Checked the bolts and all snugged up. Am I missing an adjustment or do I need a new hinge?
Cooking steaks tonight and I didn't think it was going to release them at the end. Very frustrating.
If hinge do I just do the hinge or also replace the bands. Large Egg about 7 years old.

Bands and hinge are all one item. Called spring assisted bands. I know it’s that way for the large and XL=======================================

Your bolts at the pivot points are too tight. Try loosening them a little.

By pivot bolts you mean those not associated with the springs, right?
-
the lower spring bolt needs to be tight and perpendicular (there is an inner nut that needs snugging), the pivot bots a little loose, the band bolts need to be tight tight

Sometimes all you need is a little lubricant. I have this issue once or twice a year and just add a bit of WD40 and all is good again in the world.
-
Added a spray of dry lube and it really seems to help.

I need to lube my xl. It squeals like hell when I open her up.
*this is sworn to be truthful and not meant to sound perverted* -
In other applications I would recommend a water based lubricant, however, in this case, oil works fine. Or graphite.
