Broken Bolts In Ceramic

Trying to help a friend out that has a couple of broken bolts that hold the lid onto the spring mechanism on a large egg. Pictures attached show the bolts broke off flush in the ceramic. Any tips for removing the broken bolts would be greatly appreciated. If I can get them out, I will get replacements at a dealer. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Loosen the band and take it off, I would replace the others also

Those are called clinch studs and they are not in the ceramic at all. Should be able to get replacements at any dealer. You will have to take the bands off to put in new clinch studs.

loosen the 1/4 x 20 band bolts and remove the lid and bands. go to the dealer and get new ones with the cap nuts. reinstall bands and lid and tighten. If you need a visual for assembly, see the BGE site and the getting started tab or section for a video.

Stopped by BGE world headquarters and picked up a complete hardware kit (nuts, bolts, clinch studs, etc) for $6.49. Now to follow the instructions and get the BGE up and smoking again.
