I'm through with football till next season.

The kneeling + the pub the media continued to give and now NFL denying a vet group's request for the players to PLEASE STAND ad in the SB program. Will not watch a second of it!

They said that the commercial is too "political and controversial".......yet 84 Lumber's commercial last year wasn't "political and controversial"??

Maybe more people would watch if they had some very fine people marching with tiki torches at half time?

It amazes me how much time people that don’t watch football, for whatever reason, spend talking about how they don’t watch football. His isn’t just about here but everywhere that there is an article about football. Not a big fan of the protests but believe that people have that right if they want to use it.  I will give up watching college football way before I give up the NFL. The transgressions in college sports are worse than what is happening in the pros.

This will be the first Superbowl ever which I will not watch.  I have not watched a single regular season game for the first time since 1970.

When the owners, the NFL and Goodell decided it was OK for players to take a knee during the anthem, football died for me.

Even more amazing, the NFL gave Goodell a new 40 million dollar contract as it watches itself implode and viewership collapse, rather than firing his worthless butt and begging Condaleeza Rice to give the league some actual direction.   Maybe someday the NFL will look at the half-empty stadiums and think, "we may be doing something wrong here".  Yeah, right...

This year it’s like asking yourself if you’d rather be hung or electrocuted.
Here Here, don't have a dog in this fight.  But I'll watch in delay so I can skip that useless teenie bopper half time show.

The Phillies had a relief pitcher with six digits on each hand and foot.

Just hope it’s a competitive game.  I thinking will be.  All Pats Super Bowls have been great ones.  I’m not a fan of the Pats, but I respect greatly Brady and Bills greatness.
Except when they played the Bears!

I hear Vikings fan Uber drivers are going to be dropping off Philly fans on the complete opposite side of Minneapolis for the game. Karma is a B.

I'd watch that all day! =)

Not many fans outside of New Engalnd rootin for the Pats....but that's how we like it round here. I'd hate the Pats with a passion, too, if they weren't my team. I learned long ago to embrace the hate. You can't reason with it, so make the best of it  ;)

I've never liked the cowboys. Ever. Except Staubach. Always liked him, starting at Navy. But he's been the only one. Including (or especially) Landry and JJ)

A few teams have had what may be called a dynasty. Aside from the Patriots, that was long before salary caps and free agency. The biggest dynasty is by a team who plays in a time where everything is set up to try to make all teams equal. What we are witnessing is unreal. Part of the hate is simply how successful they are. Part of it is that the qb is good looking, married to a supermodel, is at the Kentucky Derby in the afternoon, and that night is at Kobe's last game, kinda like the 3rd verse in Carly Simon's song "You're So Vain."
Then you have the haters that say it is because of the cheating. I can't comment on all of them, but the ones that I know who say that hated them before the cheating. Cheating is wrong, but sadly most, if not all teams cheat. The Saints were trying to cripple people. Not nearly as much outrage by fans over this. My guess is, if the Saints were a dynasty, the outrage would have be an eleven.
Appreciate excellence, there is not much of it around.

Will be interesting to see if the newly announced revival of the XFL will be able to really make a go of it this time.

I mean, when one of your major selling points is that "players will be required to stand during the playing of the national anthem" that's bound to draw "yuge" crowds. The biggest crowds amirite?

I love it when an overpaid athlete or actress tells me how I should vote and live my life. I mean we have so much in common.
Am I the only one bothered by an athlete who in the course of answering two questions praises god five times for directly leading his team to victory? It strikes me as more than a little offensive to the bunch of apparent heathens on the other team. Then again, I can't recall where the bible falls on gloating.

I hate all things Patriots including Tom Brady.  Philly fans are some of the worst in football....just plain a**holes how they treat opposing fans at games.  Giving the 2 evils, I guess its Philly I'm rooting for as the Patriots are the worse of the 2 options.  Except Malcolm Jenkins (Philly) thinks it's great to give his tix to a convicted murderer??   Damn.....guess that's the NFL.  Guess both suck lol.
