Ribeye Roast on the Summit
Dad bought a whole ribeye and had 5 steaks cut and kept the rest together whole for a family cookout this afternoon!

It was seasoned with salt, pepper, fresh garlic, rosemary, and olive oil

We cooked it about 300 for the first hour and a half then bumped it up to about 340 till the finish

Was a great meal and great time with my brothers and sisters families 7 kids five and under. Hope you all had a nice weekend!

It’s my dad’s grill, and yes it does have the gas lighter! It’s like a premium version of the performer gas lighter.GregW said:Nice looking cook.

Price out the BGE with a raised grid/inditect cooking rack and put it in a table with stainless top and get back with us. And dont forget its 24", XL size.baychilla said:Is that the one thats like a metal egg at twice the price? The food look amazing.
It's priced close to the BGE. Just a different beast.
The weak point in the past is the Weber cart/stand here on the Gulf Coast, as they rust out so fast. Just like my BGE nest and bands.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Dang...Weber and a Javelin...you Rebel.
Roast looks perfect!

The summit is 24” so it’s like a XL egg in a table and I believe the XL Egg in a table probably costs a little more. The Weber summit charcoal grill is a metal kamado, and a really good cooker! I love my egg but the summits really awesome too. It’s a kettle and a kamado combinedbaychilla said:Is that the one thats like a metal egg at twice the price? Great cook and result, however you got there. Way to bring it home. I looked quite extensively at the Weber Summit but then went in a totally different direction. Weber makes great products IMO.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Short of visiting a dealer I can't. Weber allows web dealers/pricing, BGE not so much. I can only use my 2009 pricing and the difference is the Weber has 6" (@ $200/inch). Im not right on the coast but Im seeing rust in my bands (oddly/thankfully not the nest). Hence why when I was looking at cookers, something rust proof was a requirement.Photo Egg said:

It’d be a great addition, I’d keep one large though :-)cookingdude555 said:that meat looks delicious. cool looking grill. I've considered selling my two larges for it.
