Freezing Bobby Flay's pizza dough

So, I tried Bobby Flay's pizza dough for the first time the other night. It was the best pizza that I have egged so far. The crust was brown and crispy, but not brittle and cracker like. The combination of toppings was just right as the crust under them was cooked as well. There were two dough balls, I only used one, and froze the other one. I plan to make pizza again in a few days, and I'm not sure how that dough does after being frozen...actually I've never had leftover dough to freeze. My questions...does that dough freeze well, and what is the best way to thaw and use the frozen dough ?

Well, since a lot of the pizza places ship frozen dough to their stores, it shouldn't be a problem. I would take it out in the morning giving it time thaw before cooking it.

I can’t speak to your specific dough, but I freeze mine with very good results. I vacuum seal to freeze. A few days before I’m ready to use the frozen dough I place it in my fridge to let it thaw. 2 hours before I’m ready to make the pizza, I get dough balls out of fridge and allow to sit at room temperature with a warm wet paper towel over top of each dough ball.Roanoke, VA
