Is $84.99 a good price for a 1.75L?

    It is generally harder to sell bottles over $50. Especially if it sits on the shelf of a liquor store whose patrons think vodka is a prime spirit.

    I really like that bourbon, but I can find it for around $40 for a 750 ml all day so that price is nothing special. Of course, this may vary per region. 

    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    It’s hard to find in most places. Love finding stores with little whiskey traffic. You can find some good bottles. Might not steal them, but you can drink them.

    I have a retired friend who works as a greeter at Wally World. Last year they moved the liquor dept up front in the store in a lay out where customers are easily watched! Reason? Too many times they would find opened bottles of booze with gulps missing and pushed to the back of the shelves!

    @RRP both sides of that story don't surprise me at all.  The sad part is we have not found the bottom.  
    Edit:  I enjoy Willet but can be a bit hard to find.  The more laps of the sun, the less I find enjoyable in searching.  FWIW-
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    I can buy that bottle for $76 at my liquor store in the north metro area of Atlanta. So your price is not overly high.

    It’s a fine bourbon. I have drank plenty of it. In the area that I live in I believe that a lot of people buy it for the bottle. It is a unique shape and adds to a collection. I will also add that I have never seen a handle in my vicinity. Don’t get me wrong, it is a good looking bottle.

    I enjoy that one, however I've never seen the 1.75 around here.  I usually pay around $50-55 for 750.  So I would say $85 would be maybe a bit on the high side but not a terrible price for a quality bourbon.
