Turbo Butt Question

I think I know the answer to this but want to confirm.  Wife brought home a package of boneless pork butt from Costco.  It appears there are 2 butts in the package.  Total weight is a little over 13 lbs.  Assuming each butt weighs approximately 6-7 lbs., should I plan around around 5 hours total for the cook?

Thanks.

Sounds about right to me, though the fact the bones were cut out means that they may cook even faster. Personally if I were you I'd tell my wife that in the future I'd rather have bone in so I know some factory dude/s hadn't cut away the bones and re-wrapped my butts!

Could easily be done sooner.  Maybe 4 hours.  So start checking sooner than the 5.

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’  Dare to think for yourself.

As a follow up, they took approximately 5 1/2 hours @ 350.  Thanks again for you help.

Good Good Good! Happy for you that all tuned out ok! Just the same I still think you ought to tell "Momma" to skip bringing home carved up butts!
