I ate most of the trimmings so not very hungry at dinner. But some of the best ribs in a long time. Must have been the new Woo.

    Look what FedEx delivered:

@tjv - Thanks for the tongs and extra crossbar!

Had to see what it looked like in the XXL:

Now I just need to find a 24" drip pan somewhere...

Your XXL photo with XL Rig is awesome
    Thank you,

@Photo Egg did you just take an angle grinder to the top ring and saw of the front middle section of the ring??

Cut pretty easy with a hand hack saw. Just start your cut slow and smooth. Let the blade do the work. Smoothed it out with hand file. After a couple cooks no one will know it was cut by me. That top bar really just gets in the way. I will not miss it.
What does this buy you?  You would have a grate on top of that anyway...

It might not give you anything. But for me, the bar just gets in the way. Especially if you are using a half grid on top and want to reach things on the lower grid with tongs. It's not a mind blowing improvement but it also hurts nothing. The newest XL Rig is shipped this way. The original Rig built for the Large also had this upper bar. Newer versions use a lower double bar support.
