I just ordered a Thermopen

Thermoworks has the Classic Thermopen on sale for $59.99. I placed an order. I thought I’d pass the news of the sale along for anyone else that might be thinking of getting one.

You're going to dig it! A couple coworkers of mine are giving the Thermopops to their kids this Christmas. I gave one sister a Thermopop for Christmas and the other sister a Thermapen for her wedding gift. I agree, they make awesome gifts!
  • I gave thermopops to all of the nieces and nephews last year.
  • Nice... have my sons one for Christmas last year... they love and use it al the time

An instant read thermo will definitely lift your cooking game.  I gave Xmas pops gifts last year.  They were very much appreciated.
    Thanks for the info.

  • My Thermapen arrived today. Appears to be built good. I'm happy. I'll have to cook something now so I can test it. I'm glad I sprung for it at $59. I waited a long time for it to go on sale.

Three seconds is a long time, with all that squirming and screaming.

  • Yep, you will love it.
  • NOT trashing the thermapen. Im sure they are they bomb, but for those wishing to purchase a similar, if not identical item for less, the Javelin pro duo by lava tools is $49 baseline. Currently 15% off site wide with promo code PHEW17 listed on the website.

I have no history with Javalin thermos but I grabbed a Javalin  PT12 for $16+ on a blast sale Thanksgiving, linked below if still open.  Got it yesterday (even with the no $$ free shipping) and one data point says I'm good with a back-up to a thermopen when that was the only game in town 7 + years ago.  FWIW-

  • I have the Javelin Pro Duo already. I think the build quality on the Thermapen is a little better. I’ve always had that what if in the back of my head. They ran that great sale and I had to have it. I think I’m going to give the Javelin to my son.

Thermapen is great.  Sure there are cheaper alternatives out there but TP works for me.
