Turkey 101

i am doing a brine of my turkey and didn’t read all the directions
I added the potatoes to the brine but the directions didn’t say to do that.
Am I ok with the potatoes in a brine and later cooking them?

Yeah, potatoes are expensive and if you cook them too rare you could get anthrax or something.

Are you being sarcastic? Anthrax grows in dirt.  Potatoes grow in dirt.

To the OP, I don't cook anything from my brine.  To salty.  Its all for seasoning.  I make a totally seperate mixture to cook down for stock and gravy.

You do have a fishing boat like Dexter and a Quansit hut ... although, I learned from NPR hut is a deragatory term.
