There really isn't a fix short of replacing the gasket in my view.  You could contact your dealer and/or BGE and get a replacement stock gasket, but within a year or maybe two you will be left with the same predicament.   I recommend a Rutland gasket.  They're cheap, last for years and mailed to your home by a very nice guy, our very own @RRP.  Utilize the search function as the debate of stock gasket vs Rutland has been going on since the first kamado cooker was.invented in 2,000 B.C. (give or take a couple of malenia).  By that, I mean there is a ton of info on it.

I recall doing something like this and it worked for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ0PaSTMgpo  Be careful to not loosen the band too much and make sure you tighten it enough after getting it set so that dome doesn't fall out.  If necessary, you can have someone press down on the dome once it is slightly loose in the band.
