National Guacamole Day - ad hoc throw-down

Today is national guacamole day, so go smash some avocados and snap a pic. Post pics today, show it's today by having this thread showing on a phone or iPad or today's newspaper or something in the pic (sure, a college game on a tv in the background works). Post as many pics as you like, must be posted by midnight CDT. Voting through midnight tomorrow, CDT. I'll figure out a bottle of rub or something to send the winner.

Not guacamole but if you want a great appetizer-

In a shallow dish-
cube 2 ripe avacados
quarter some cherry tomatoes
add feta
mix with EVVO until little extra oiled pools on the pan

serve with pita chips or tortilla chips

very simple and it goes over very well

you can also add some Greek seasoning if you prefer.

Football season. People committed to the couch. My wife would have enjoyed some guacamole tonight.

By the time I got off the interstate it was all I could do to put a Papa Murphys pizza in the oven.

I use an avocado, salt, garlic, cilantro, tomatoes, onion, and jalepenos. Not in that order.

Indeed. And you can float carpet and make things indigo. I'd put N's guac up against anyones carpetbagger.

I keep hearing about an avocado shortage and spiking prices...anyone else out there hearing the same? I went to a loca l sub shop last week to get the turkey avocado bacon club and the store owner told me no avocado in the store due to price increases....

I heard there was an avocado shortage. One of our local joints raised prices on any item with avocado due to tremendous price increase???
