So I've cooked a 2 hour low temp chicken, a 400 degree steak meal, and five hour ribs at 250. Am I good to do a 600 degree steak cook or do I need to break in the new egg a little longer? Thanks for your input.

My BGE dealer said do three cooks at <400F before doing anything hotter. Sounds like you've done that. I say go for it.Mountain View, CA

Just remember to burp the Egg when you open it at 600 degrees. That way you get to keep the hair on your arm.Charlotte NC - Large Big Green Egg (2009) w/Nest and Handler
