    Agree, having a unit that uses K Type is great.
    I got in on the Thermoworks new Wi-Fi unit. Looks very well built.
    It shipped this week and scheduled to hit home tomorrow. Just in time for that little Gulf of Mexico rain storm.lol

    @jtcBoynton, natural draw, slider vent open, daisy wheel open, had to test under normal conditions

    @heavyG,  gotta go ceramic sheath at those temps.....omega engineering has 'em

    firebox and fire ring are purdy clean and white.......lol

    You can get high temp probes.

    A K type probe in and of itself doesn't mean that it is suitable for high temps. You need to get one specifically for the range you want to expose it too. The advantage of K type probes is that they are available in a very wide range of types for all sorts of uses and a wide range of environments unlike "headphone jack" type probes which are much more limited in comparison.

    Yes, I know what K-type probes are and yes, I know there are different ratings for probes and wires and wire coatings. Clearly a tongue-in-cheek comment goes over a few people's heads. No harm, no foul. Carry on.
