what does this do for you that a cast iron dutch oven won't do for a fraction of the price?“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

DO bread is awesome but i am looking for a cibatta or bagette shape to make bread in. I do have two clay elongated enclosed bread bakers from breadtopia but ci will live longer. Hopefully lodge gets its act together and produces CI bread baker that can do cibatta and bagutte
Fourneau is 14" long exterior and 12.1" interior so that isnt a baguette but cibatta will be fine for my purposes for now
Itll fit in Large but not mm. If i can bake 3 loaves at a time plus two in my lodge CI ddutch 5q thats pretty good production for my purposes.. -

will let you cook longer loaves or rolls and use a spatula (aka pseudo-peel) to slide them in/out.
Anyway, the bread oven is a neat piece of cast iron.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -

I used to cook bread in a dutch oven and it produced great results in an oven or on a BGE. However, it was very heavy and limited in the type of bread I could bake. I switched to using a roasting pan which is light and oval shaped so it could bake different shaped breads. It looks like this:
I keep it covered for about half the cooking time then uncover it to finish.

Or, go ahead and get the Roccbox now and then the Uuni Pro when it becomes available.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -

You outta know the cool kids in the bread community say a 4 quart DO is the way to go. Better add 1 or 2 if those to your cart.Phoenix -
