been craving some dry rub ribs like I used to get at home and a hole in the wall BBQ joint. These were not as good. But they were pretty dang good.

Looks great! what did you use?

Some rub from a local supermarket here in town. Simply called butt rub. Haha.Huntsville, Al LBGE

Ribs look great and a solid ring especially from the BGE. I only eat dry rub ribs. Look around and experiment with various rubs or make your own. Whenever you pick up a commercial rub be mindful of the salt content. Some lay in on quite heavily. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

That's the way I prefer my ribs as well. Dry rubbed only.

Those look spectacular! I don't know why I usually don't get much of a smoke ring. I know it doesn't affect the flavor or the amount of smoke, and I get very smoky-tasting ribs, but I still have a certain amount of "smoke ring envy."
Was that "butt rub" Bad Byron's Butt Rub? I haven't used that in years, but I used to love it. Maybe I'll try it again one of these days. -
When done right, ribs with only dry rub are easily my favorite.
