Beautiful day here in North Texas. Chickies brined for 24 hrs and have been on since 12:30pm. I just put the potatoes on and plan to make mashed potatoes with them in a few hours. Stay tuned!

Sorry I left this thread hanging last night. Chicken turned out delicious. Taters were kind of a bust. Weren't done with the chicken so I had to nuke them to the finish line. Even with what I felt was a lot of milk and butter they seemed dry. As a consolation my wife baked cookies on the Egg for the first time. They turned out great!

From my experience, potatoes need to be on the egg at 400 for an hour. Next time shoot for an internal temp of 200 on the potatoe for perfection

I agree though they need at least an hour at 400. They always take longer than I think they will.
Another option is to cut up the taters and put them in a pan under the chicken. They will be heavenly cooked in the chicken grease.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Yeah, I've been doing them 1hr at 400 for baked potatoes and that always works out well. I didn't really do the math on time @ 250 and that was my downfall. I think I'll stick to simple baked potatoes, they are always better anyway. @SmokeyPitt I also like the idea of roasting them cut up under the chicken!XL BGE, CGS AR & spider, 36" SS Blackstone, SMOBOT - Flower Mound, TX
