New to GA and a new egg

Hi all,

Moved from NJ to GA (Gwinnett) a couple months back for work and, having left my XL up north to deal with the snow, I have been working on my Large set up. Over the past couple weekends I have got after it, going low and slow on some butts, ribs, wings and chicken, and yesterday doing some pizzas.

Next up are a couple practice briskets before try not to screw up a SRF black I got for my birthday =).

Just wanted to say, I love reading about everyone's cooking triumphs and stories and will try to post a bit more in the future. Posted below are some of my latest exploits.

Edit: Ugh, mobile messed this one up, pictures coming.

-Dan

Welcome to the forum and Georgia from a fellow Gwinnettian.  Great first post.

At least you are above the gnat line. They add extra flavor for us a little further south.

From a former Gwinnettian, welcome to the great state of GA.  Traffic sucks no matter what time of day up there!  Looks like you've got the new hinge on that Large.  My folks are still in the Lilburn area and I am trying to convert dad from the Weber to the Egg.

    Smoke on!

GREAT looking food!!!  Welcome to the South!  I was born in Michigan, spent many years in the Philly area, then moved to Virginia, and now North Carolina. I was a little worried whether I'd be accepted in the South, have seen a baseball cap or two that said, "Help beautify the South -- Put a Yankee on the bus!" and so forth :), but it's been great.  Very warm and welcoming.

And NO doubt you'll have more great Egging weather in GA than NJ!  :)

Just think, you don't even need a fire in the egg to cook down here!
