Spatch Chicken (And AMAZING Customer Service!)

Haven't done a spatchcocked chicken in a while, so I figured it was time.
But the REAL reason is that shiny new gasket and lily white ceramic.... because I took my seriously cracked firebox and cracked fire ring from my 13 year old Medium in for warranty over the weekend. Got it home and the ring didn't fit. My area dealer, Outdoor Home, called BGE Monday morning, and they approved a new base and dome because the size/shape has changed slightly and the new rings don't fit the old bases! The dealer moved my bands to the new parts, so I basically got a new Egg to fit the replacement fire ring! Feel a little guilty, but super impressed with how they stand behind that warranty!
