Anova Sous Vide deal and question.

I just saw that Anova Sous Vide units are $30-$40 off on their website in advance of Father's Day. And if you hang around on the site, you can get an extra $10 off via their support chat.
I think I'm gonna treat myself for father's day.
I get the diff between wifi and bluetooth, but does the 100W power difference really matter for practical use?
Anybody get the 800W unit and regret it (ignoring the wifi connection difference).
Thx

mines 800 and no issues at all holding 5gals at whatever temp for days. If it ever becomes an issue a little insulation around the vessel helps a ton

Not really. Mine is 800 and good to 22 or 24 L, if I recall. That's more than enough for me. The larger one will save you a bit on electricity since it won't cycle as much.

Thanks for the heads up! That's a great deal. Just slightly less that what they're going for on Amazon at the moment, taxes included.LBGE, MiniMax, Weber Genesis and a hunger for all grilling knowledge! Aledo, TX

I have the 800W too, and don't feel the need for more power, for my purposes.
One on Amazon is $109 now HERE.------------------------------

We have a friend who visits and brings his Anova, we have a Joule, side by side I think the cook is the same, but the Joule is smaller easier to store, and quieter!

I have the BlueTooth one due to price. Now, I'd get the wifi one so that I could start up the warm-up from work and then by the time I get home I could simply drop the proteins in. I don't use the BT anyway - as soon as I leave the kitchen area the connection drops...
And the extra wattage will only help speed up the time to get to temp.

LOL, I left work almost 6 years ago. I've been home for a while. If I buy one, I'll go for cheap.vb4677 said:...start up the warm-up from work and then by the time I get home I could simply drop the proteins in.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
